My Receipt date for 485 is july 27th 2007 and nebraska is processing applications for this date.
I applied for cross chargeability on 10th March.. Any idea how long before my case is approved? My lawyer has confirmed that its possible and he claims that it should take 4-8 weeks. I wanted to check to see what the experience of people has been so far?
Any insight is greatly appreciated! Thanks!

Scenario:
Working on H1. Wife is on H4. Waiting for our EADs.
Planning to work for H1-GC sponsorer employer until (or I should say 6 months after) we get the GC.
I am running a website and am planning to sell the advertising space?
Q1: Can a H1 legally receive the money from website advertising on his/her website?
Q2: Can a H1 register DBA?
Q3: How about if H1 uses EAD, can then he register DBA and legally receive the money from website advertising? (I know once you use EAD your H1 becomes invalid).
Q4: I know I can register DBA in wife's name when she receive EAD? Is that the only option I have?
Please share your thoughts!

I am married with an American Citizen. His petition has been approved. My problem is that I cant change my status because my J1 visa was subject to the 2 years home country. I came as an Au Pair or Child Care Provider in 2007. I have been subject to that rule because the Skill List from 1997, which is not even in any field in my country El Salvador in the Skill List. That is why my application is hereby denied.
I dont know what i should do, because just I have 15 days to make a motions to reopen o pay a waiver and re-file my application all over again.
Please I need help is anyone can advice me in this. I really need it.

Domicile Certificate i.e. Certificate of nationality shows the date of birth.Can this be used instead of Birth Certificate?

I am F-1 Student at a community college. At the same time, I am teaching at the college that I go to, since I have a Master's Degree....as I am allowed to work on campus 20 hours. The school is not willing to file H1b for me. But if there is another short cut....they might help me with that. Is there any way of receiving Green Card without going through the H1b?

So I'm in need of an answer for my parents.
They have their green card and have been out of the United States for a little less than 6 months now visiting their homeland. They will be returning in a week but due to a medical circumstance that has happened with my mother overseas, she would need to go back to their homeland so she can acquire her medications and chemotherapy there. What is the minimum amount of time they would have to stay here in the United States until they can go back to their homeland?
I know you can stay out of U.S. for no more than 6 months or their green cards make be revoked, I understand that part but I'm curious if there is a minimum amount of time they'd have to stay here in the Unites States before they can go back overseas so it doesn't look bad when they go through immigration.

Illegal non-immigrants did the rally to local USCIS offices. It would be good if we pick one day in 2nd week of July and have a rally to local USCIS offices. This will immediately catch the media attention.
Rally news should be spread out to media so we can get enough coverage?
